It’s been interesting working with Redbridge community groups from a business perspective. 🙂
Final seminar is on Thursday 22 September 5.30-8pm at Marjorie Collins Centre, Chadwell Heath.
Groups that have participated: Welcome Centre, Redbridge Foodbank, Ubuntu Arts, Disabled Asian Womens Network (DAWN), Marjorie Collins Centre, Redbridge Timebank, Redbridge Faith Forum, Liberty Credit Union, Ask Academy, Ladies Unite, a luncheon club, Ilford Transition Town, AWAAZ, an Ilford church, upcycling project, Plantastic social enterprise and Mohamad who is setting up a social enterprise in Eritrea.
Information and resources are on the Enterprising Redbridge website.
The Sophia Hubs Enterprising Redbridge project is an opportunity for reflection and challenges about changing mindsets from funding dependency to exploring different ways of running the services and raising income.
There’s one more seminar to round things off and ongoing online resources and plans for continued support…. Please book here. The plan is that many community groups will start to access the business support offered by Sophia Hubs and other services in the borough. The Google Digital Garage online training and support sessions are an example of support being offered to businesses that is open to community groups. More info to follow
With thanks to Awards For All for funding this.
