The Sophia Hubs weekly entrepreneur’s club will be held at Redbridge Enterprise Desk on Thursday 21st July 5.30-7.30.
Our speaker will be Woodford fashion designer Isatu Harrison who is Director of Izelia fashion. She will talk about her growing fashion business with a focus on knowing your customers and finding the right people who are the decision makers in a company.
We are excited by this as it could be the launch of a Redbridge creatives collaboration. Isatu has established that her customers are in other boroughs, Spitalfields is particularly fertile ground, but she wants to connect with Redbridge creatives and is looking for a shop in this area as it is more affordable.
So here’s a call out…. If you are a start-up business, or small business, or an artist or creative as a hobby…. Come along, network, hear from Isatu, get practical help and let’s see where this goes.
Isatu says: I draw on my Sierra Leonean heritage to create a modern and sophisicated range of ready to wear pieces. Izelia combines African wax prints with contemporary cuts and is a brand for those who want to make an impression in stylish and colourful outifits with high quality fabrics with precise tailoring.
Sophia Hubs is keen to build collaboration between business sectors in the borough as a way of building a stronger local and sharing economy. Currently we are supporting the Redbridbe green business sector in this way and are happy to help support the arts businesses in Redbridge.
Sophia Hubs is funded by the Council to support start-up businesses and charity/voluntary sector with business skills. We work in close partnership with Enterprise Desk that is developing a business hub and co working space in Redbridge Central library. For more information about us click here.
