Ilford’s 3rd Saturday green pop up market seeks repair businesses, recycled goods, green products and crafts

Ilford pop up green market 9th April 10-2

Sophia Hubs is a key partner in this new Ilford Town Centre green pop up market. We are working alongside Ilford Recycles social enterprise and community group Ilford Transition Town to build up a market on the 2nd Saturday of the month.

For info and pics of first market click here. The photos above are from the second market in March. So see a great blog from stallholder Hayley Thomas on why vintage clothes are green click here.

Today the Sophia Hubs green business volunteers decided that we will try and book up a tailor or seamstress for clothes repairs and book in someone good at mending gadgets.

Next market 9th April 10-2pm at the Salvation Army,  Clements Road, IG1 1BH

  • recycled bikes
  • upcycling, vintage, craft stalls
  • green arts activities
  • repairs
  • community cafe with healthy home cooked food and drinks.

Please help us find a couple of micro businesses or community members to offer a repair service. And then help us to promote it to get them customers!

For stalls bookings and other info contact Begona Belmonte on hannunna@yahoo.com or Ros on ros.southern@sophiahubs.com / 07707 460309.
