Meet the Funder session in January for social enterprises and not for profit business on making a winning grant application

Ola KanuNew Year Special – Meet the Funder – a guest blog by Ola Kanu

Laura Mitchell and Tom Flynn from London Community Foundation will be joining RedbridgeCVS for a Meet the Funder session on Monday 11 January, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, in our 5th floor training room.

One of the grants will be the Redbridge Small Grant, which now has a much improved income threshold – if your group’s average income over the last 3 years is £150,000 or under you can now apply! The new grant application opens on 14 December 2015, with a deadline of 5 February 2016. They are encouraging as many groups to apply as possible as they have slightly more to spend in this round than in previous rounds.

Laura and Tom will also talk about Comic Relief Local Communities and other funds you can apply for through London Community Foundation.

This is a great opportunity to hear directly from the funder and to use the lessons learnt to hone any planned grant applications, particularly around common errors, level of detail required, what they look for in a grant application, and the sort of projects that have been successfully funded.

Attendance is free for all Redbridge voluntary and community groups and not for profit businesses. No booking needed.

We look forward to seeing you. Let’s start 2016 on a winning note!

If you receive one to one fundraising support or emailed grants please remember to let me know the outcome of your grant applications.

Ola Kanu, TB Awareness Project Coordinator & Community Fundraiser, Redbridge CVS
