You are invited to Sophia Hubs in the City – Tues 17 November – philanthropy, community share offer, social investment in Redbridge

Philanthropy in the City front pageHi Redbridge businesses, start-ups and community members – Sophia Hubs has an evening in the City for the City of London launch of our community share offer.

Come along, hear what we’ve been doing in Redbridge, network with City financiers and find out about philanthropy and social investment.  Our community shares will be a way of investing in start-ups and businesses in Redbridge that bring some community benefit.

  • Tuesday 17th November 2015 6.00 – 8.00pm
  • St Stephens Wallbrook, (exit 8 Bank Station, 1 minute walk)

Here’s a flyer with more information (including the map) about the series of events running at St Stephen’s Walbrook Church, just by Bank station.  More info about our event is on there too.

We’d love to have a big turnout of start-ups and are grateful to Olive Hamilton Andrews for doing a presentation on behalf of start-ups we have supported in such fantastic ways!  And the food is being provided by Begona Belmonte, Redbridge caterer Planet Falafel and volunteer deputy Timebank manager 🙂

For some information on social investment, take a look at Big Society Capital website and read Sophia Hubs Director Aidan Ward’s blog on economic community development.

This month we are running a series of our entrepreneur’s club on finance and legal issues. This is an interesting complement to this programme of speakers and topics around this issue.

Please let us know if you are coming so that we can get our refreshment supplies right!  Email Clive.Sheldon@sophiahubs.com or me. Thanks!
