Redbridge photojournalist Prodeepta to share his journey from school teacher to freelance photographer and fab childrens books

Prodeepta DasWe are looking forward to the enterprise club Tuesday lunchtime (13th October) with Prodeepta Das who runs his own business.  I met Prodeepta at the Chamber breakfast this month.

Prodeepta was an English teacher in a Newham school 7 years ago.  After working in all his holidays as a photo journalist he decided to take the plunge.  For 3 years he worked as a freelance and then formed his limited company 4 years ago.  He works in a collaborative way with a designer and printer to produce school and college prospectus and a wide selection of children’s books. He has managed to find high profile clients to work with including Benjamin Zephaniah.  See his Prodeepta Das book We are Britainbooks on Amazon.

Prodeepta is our speaker and is willing to share his ups and downs and his tips, along with how he developed this thick skin you need to get those contracts!

Please feel free to bring people along – we would like your help to expand this club ten fold!  Anyone who is in business and would like a refresher plus to offer their expertise is welcome, anyone running a start-up business and even those thinking about it.  It took Prodeepta a long while to take the risk and pack in his job and that comfy wage!
