I am manager and owner of Chadwell Heath business Cushions Curtains Couture and Christmas is a very busy time for crafting and sales 🙂 I am running a local independent market to let Redbridge residents buy quality, locally made crafts for Christmas presents.
Saturday 5th December 12.30-4.30
This is my 2nd year organising a Christmas themed event. Last year was very successful but the venue upon feedback was too small so have selected larger premises off Chadwell Heath High Road. St Chads Church Hall, Eric Road, Chadwell Heath, RM6 6JH. I have a Santa’s Grotto and Activities table and currently trying to find a bouncy castle hirers.
The footfall last year was around 100-125 people. That was an event that was planned in 5 weeks. This event I will be pushing hard advertising from mid October. Banners, posters and leaflets will be up and distributed locally and a lot of social media advertising
Here are the businesses on board already… Cup cakes… Large cakes… Sweet cart… Caribbean catering… Forever Living Products… Event planner… Knitted items… Cushions… Face painter… Handmade cards… Tombola… I have quite a few potentials who have up to the 25th or 30th to pay so people can be placed on a waiting list if they do clash with another business I’m awaiting payment from.
I am currently looking for people that supply goods or services best suited to that time of year. Plaque makers, hampers, personalised plates/cutlery, glitter glasses, jewellery, scarves, etc. Items that people can be purchasing as gifts and stocking fillers. I don’t require any hot food but a stall selling crisps/chocolates/can drinks (no sweets) though would be great.
The cost of a stall is £20 + a prize donation to the raffle. I am still looking for a children’s charity that the event can support with the raffle.
I am a big supporter of local markets and attended the Seven Kings Pop Up market in the Spring where they took this photo. Please get in touch to find out about stalls opportunities – firstname.lastname@example.org 07903 799196
Thanks, Marlena Sam
