Sophia Hubs has been working with Seven Kings Business Partnership to look at ways to help bring extra vitality and footfall to Seven Kings, Goodmayes and Chadwell Heath High Streets. This follows a visit we made to the succesful Woodgrange Saturday market outside Forest Gate station last year.
We are now delighted to announce that there will be a pilot Saturday pop up event on 13th June in the bay outside the station 12-4. We are still sorting out stalls prices etc but we have managed to negotiate with Redbridge Council that first time start-ups (up until 3rd time) will not need to pay the £15 traders licence. 🙂 Maybe it will just be the price of hiring a gazebo or maybe we can find sponsorship and make it free!
We think there will be space for 15 stalls and we want to bring in Redbridge start-ups, crafts, caterers and also have some community art activities. It would be good to have some mini tasters for people wanting to promote their therapeutic work – eg Indian Head Massage? Manicures?
We are looking for people to help us dress the trees outside the Joker pub as a way of cheap and attractive promotion.
Please get in touch – email@example.com or Kim Judge (from Seven Kings Business Partnership) on firstname.lastname@example.org (who designed the flyer) if you want to find out more, have ideas for the event or want to have a stall or run an activity.
This is a follow on from our first market in November last year. More news to follow….
