So much on offer, and all given freely by businesses and community members. 🙂 There’s growing interest in the sharing economy as a way of building community resilience and giving a practical helping hand to start-up businesses.
In this photo Glenda Yearwood is leading a session on Neuro Linguistic Programming and taking advantage are Lucy, Maggie, Bharathi, Smeranda, Aquida and Jitendra – 5 out of the 6 are start-up businesses.
Here’s Aqida Abbasi, a volunteer with Aanchaal Women’s Aid project giving her thoughts on the event.
Held at the Flirt cafe in Ley Street, Ilford, of offer was: NLP, selling on Ebay, Kundalini yoga, making toiletries, green lifestyle tips, making kombucha, creative writing, emotional freedom techniques, marketing and one-to-one Facebook tuition.
It was difficult for me to choose between marketing with Nicola or Ebay with Richard. I chose the latter because I need to be able to buy materials on Ebay and eventually sell my product on it. It was really helpful…. and the NLP session with Glenda was useful too. JITENDRA MARVANA
Thanks so much to Stephanie, our volunteer Timebank Manager who put in so much time to make this event work and also to Begonia and Lynette who gave time and love.
