Pop up market free stalls and TT event at Enterprise Exchange Sat 25 October

As you know the fab Enterprise Exchange is a pilot to test interest for a business hub…. and as an experiment unexpected opportunities are being taken up!

Saturday 25th October a local group (as part of a national and international movement) are running a Redbridge Transition Town event.  There will also be a pop up market that Sophia Hubs is coordinating.

1pm – 5pmfree trading space for Redbridge small businesses, start-ups, green groups and alternative therapies.  Please book your space through ros.southern@sophiahubs.com or elizabeth.gardner@redbridge.gov.uk.  The maximum number of traders is 20.

2pm – 3.30 – 4 short talks, networking and participatory activities on making Redbridge a Transition Town

Speakers Mehul Damani and Rakesh Rak will share their experiences of alternative economies and the Brixton Pound, Crystal Palace local shops smart card, easy household savings through energy tips, local food growing tips and more.  The local group is hosting this event and can tell you more about their plans to make the area richer through living more locally.

This information will be updated as the details are clarified for both events.

    if I wanted to do some juicing and maybe health food of some decription how would I get round the health and safety side?Also would there be access to electricity and water?

      Hi Siobhan, I think due to the pilot nature of the Enterprise Exchange in general and that some licencing and insurance issues are not clear, that the organisers do not want fresh produce for sale. Stuff in bottles/jars/containers would be ok. Do you want to email me direct about this and I will contact Jane and Liz who are running the hub. ros.southern@sophiahubs.com.
