Sophia course for Valentines ward in July

Our next Sophia course is on a real neighbourhood level – just for Valentines ward residents!  Although its Ramadan we are hoping for 15 + residents to join together for 2 Saturdays in July to reflect on the area and generate positive ideas, including ideas for business, that would benefit the area.  We can then give practical support to the ideas that come up, and hopefully some start-up businesses will emerge too.

Sophia Course: reflections on Valentines ward & entrepreneurial solutions.

When?: Saturday 12th July & Saturday 19th July, 10 – 3pm

Where?: The new Polish cafe – ‘Flirt’ – in Ley Street (no. 361) in the upstairs room

How?Using your skills, assets, wisdom, experience and ideas

Sophia Hubs Seven Kings is a community and multi faith project based at St Johns Church in Seven Kings.  It was launched in August 2013 and is working to create a ‘grassroots’ network of entrepreneurs, support start-up businesses and strengthen the local economy and the ‘sharing’ economy. It has a range of services including an enterprise club, business mentors, the Sophia course and the newly launched Timebank.  This is a ‘start your own business’ cum ‘community meeting’ course with a difference.  It is best to attend both sessions, but coming to one is OK.

Sandwiches will be supplied at lunch time or you can pop home for a bit.

Funded by London Borough of Redbridge , from the Community First fund.

Please contact me for more details or to book your place.  Apologies that this is not an accessible room.  The flyer is here in pdf. Sophia Course Valentines Ward 2014
