At the enterprise club on 18th February, Beverley Stratton, Town Centre Manager, spent time with Monica to help her shape her ideas for a new social enterprise and suggested a mindmap.Monica’s business is to pilot a recycling and repurposing arts/crafts project as a way to raise money for the Street Pastors Safer Space project. The aim is for this to be a ready-made project and work opportunity for women when they feel able to leave prostitution. The project in itself – reusing and repurposing waste objects – is close to Monica’s heart as well as anything that can help the trafficked prostitutes in Redbridge.
Ros and Jonathan from Sophia Hubs are celebrating with Monica after an agreement that Sophia will be supporting Monica to develop her business. We will be providing a business mentor to take her through this journey to a viable social enterprise.
